ADOR TENALLOY 16W is a C-Mn steel low-hydrogen welding electrode classified to AWS A/SFA 5.1 E7016. It features a basic-type coating, all-position welding capability, radiographic-quality weld deposits, and excellent mechanical properties at subzero temperatures.
TENALLOY 16W is designed for demanding welding and repair applications including buffer layers before hardfacing, joining cast iron to mild steel, cast iron repair, butt welding of rail ends, and fixing rails to mild steel girders.
The electrode is suitable for all positions except vertical down and uses DCEP polarity. It has a specified diffusible hydrogen content of less than 5 ml/100 g.
