SUPABASE is a C-Mn steel low-hydrogen welding electrode designed for demanding welding applications requiring reliable weld quality and good mechanical properties. It is a basic-type iron powder electrode with approximately 115% metal recovery and a radiographic-quality weld deposit.

The electrode is suitable for pipe welding in 5G and 6G positions and is designed for applications such as pressure vessels, pipes, storage tanks, bridges, heavy structures, and joining specified structural and pressure-vessel steels.

SUPABASE is classified as AWS A5.1 E7018, with additional classifications under ISO 2560-A E 42 3 B32 H5 and IS 814 EB5426H3 JX. The datasheet lists approvals from ABS, BV, LRA, IBR, BIS, NTPC, BHEL and CE.
