ALFA Stellite 6 is a cobalt-based, wear-resistant alloy filler material designed for hardfacing and welding applications where excellent resistance to wear, galling, corrosion, impact, and cavitation erosion is required.

Stellite 6 consists of complex carbides dispersed in a cobalt-chromium alloy matrix. It offers good all-round performance and is widely used for general-purpose wear-resistant applications. The alloy retains a reasonable level of hardness up to approximately 500°C (930°F).

The material is suitable for a variety of hardfacing processes, including TIG weld deposition, MMA weld deposition, MIG weld deposition, PTA and laser weld deposition. Typical applications include valve seats and gates, pump shafts and bearings, erosion shields, and rolling couples.
