ALFA 309L / ER309L is an extra-low-carbon austenitic stainless steel filler wire. It deposits approximately 24% Cr / 13% Ni austenitic stainless steel weld metal with high ferrite content, allowing the weld metal to tolerate dilution from carbon and low-alloy steels without hot cracking. The deposited weld metal is of radiographic quality.
