The Ralli Wolf BSR1 is a pneumatic bench sand rammer purpose-built for foundries, designed to compact moulding sand uniformly and consistently before casting. Its high-power percussive action delivers 8500 blows per minute, giving fast, thorough compaction that would take far longer to achieve by hand tamping.
A simple internal valve design keeps the ramming action smooth rather than jerky, giving operators more consistent control during repeated ramming passes across a mould box. This matters directly for casting quality — uneven or inconsistent sand compaction is a common source of casting defects, so a controlled, repeatable ramming action helps foundries maintain consistent mould density.
With a 102mm stroke length and 530mm overall length, the BSR1 is sized for bench-mounted foundry work rather than handheld field use. It runs on a 3/8" NPT air inlet and draws a substantial 25 cfm, so it needs a compressor capable of sustaining that flow for continuous foundry operation. At 5.7kg, it's built solid for the repetitive, high-impact nature of sand ramming work.
