Metro Round Die Handles are used to hold and turn round dies during manual external thread cutting, providing the leverage and stability needed to cut clean, consistent threads by hand. A heavy alloy steel body gives the handle the rigidity to resist flexing under the torque of threading, particularly important on larger die sizes cutting through more material.
A hardened, heavy screw holds the round die firmly centered within the handle frame, keeping the die square to the workpiece as it's turned — misalignment here directly affects thread quality and can cause the die to bind or cut unevenly.
Available in sizes from 13/16" up to 2", this range covers Metro's full round die diameter lineup (both carbon steel and HSS variants), making it the companion tool needed to actually use those dies for manual external threading work.
